Psychopathy and sociopathy

are very often confused for each other or believed to be the same thing. The theory that I follow is that psychopathy is born - the result of genetic, biological ‘nature’ factors, whereas sociopathy is learned from environment and upbringing, or ‘nurture’ factors. Both are characterised foremost by a physiological lack of empathy and arousal, followed by high verbal intelligence, manipulation, charm, and deceit.
